Want to become a High School Soccer Referee??

A good general knowledge and understanding of the sport, good physical conditioning and the ability to stay cool under pressure are requirements for a soccer referee. Many players, coaches and parents also believe that we require our Referees to have poor eyesight and hearing loss, but that is just not true. Here are the required steps to become a High School Soccer Referee in the Metrolina Area.

Step #1
You must first register with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association. Go to their website and follow the directions for registration from the "Officiating" page. If this is your first North Carolina registration click on the link for "Register a new AccountRegister a new Account" and complete the form and submit. The form will ask for the name of the local booking agent (in our area this will be Bill Freemann - Metrolina)

Step #2
Secondly you must register with Bill Freeman Sports Officials as a Soccer Referee by visiting his webpage and completing the online form (link attached below). Once registered you will began to receive notifications of training meetings and assignments via email. A valid email address is required for proper communication of assignments.
